Sony has named the three PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for November 2026: Dead Island 2, Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered and Monster Train 2. All three can be added to your library from Tuesday, November 3 until Monday, November 30, and because they are Monthly Games they are included at every tier of the service, Essential upwards. That makes this a zombie-slaying open-world romp, a trilogy of classic Lara Croft adventures and one of the better deckbuilders of recent years, all landing on the same day.
The dates that matter
The November games go live on Tuesday, November 3, which follows the usual first-Tuesday rhythm for PlayStation Plus. They stay claimable until Monday, November 30. As with every Monthly Game, adding a title to your library is what counts: once claimed, it stays playable for as long as your PlayStation Plus membership stays active, even after it leaves the monthly line-up. If your subscription lapses, access is paused until you resubscribe.
There is also a deadline on the way out. October's three games, F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896 and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, remain claimable until Monday, November 2. If you have not added them yet, that is the day to do it, because they disappear from the monthly slot the day before the November games arrive.
Dead Island 2 (PS5, PS4)
The headline game is Dambuster Studios' Dead Island 2, published by Deep Silver, which moves the series from tropical islands to a quarantined Los Angeles that its marketing likes to call HELL-A. The city has been overrun, and you work your way through recognisable LA locations, picking up quests from a cast of oddball survivors along the way. The tone is deliberately pulpy and over the top, closer to a splatter comedy than a grim survival story.
The core of the game is its melee combat. Dead Island 2 is built around close-range weapons that can be modified into increasingly absurd tools for dismantling the undead, and its damage system lets you strip, slice and break zombies apart piece by piece. You can play the whole thing solo, or bring in up to two friends for three-player online co-op. Both the PS5 and PS4 versions are part of the offer, so you can claim it on either console.
For anyone who skipped it at launch, this is a low-risk way in: a full-priced open-world action RPG with a sizable campaign, arriving at no additional cost for members.
Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered (PS5, PS4)
The second pick is the remastered collection of what fans call the Darkness Trilogy: Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation, Tomb Raider: Chronicles and Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness. These are the late-era Core Design games that followed the original trilogy, and the package bundles all three into one release.

The standout feature, as in the earlier I–III collection, is the ability to switch between the original polygonal visuals and the new remastered graphics at any moment. That makes it equally useful as a nostalgia trip and as a way to see how far the series has come. It is available on both PS5 and PS4.
Angel of Darkness in particular has a long and complicated reputation as the troubled end of the original era, so this is a good opportunity to make up your own mind about it without paying for the privilege.
Monster Train 2 (PS5)
The third game is Monster Train 2, a single-player deckbuilding roguelite and the only PS5-exclusive claim of the three; there is no PS4 version in this offer. The sequel builds on the original's central idea: you defend a train, floor by floor, against waves of enemies climbing toward its core, playing cards to deploy units and spells across three vertical levels.

This time the setup flips the first game's premise. A shaky alliance of former angels and demons must work together to push back the Titans, powerful beings who have seized Heaven. Runs take you through Hell, Heaven and the Abyss, and you choose from five brand-new clans, each with its own strengths and playstyle. Recruiting units, upgrading cards and testing combinations between clans is where the game's long tail lives, so it is the pick of the month for anyone who wants something to chip away at for weeks.
How it compares to recent months
November's line-up leans on variety rather than a single giant release. Dead Island 2 is the obvious draw for co-op groups, the Tomb Raider collection covers the retro crowd and Monster Train 2 is the strategy option. Taken together with October's F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896 and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, Essential members have six games to grab across the next five weeks, as long as they remember the November 2 cut-off for the October trio.
Sony usually details the Extra and Premium Game Catalog additions separately, later in the month, so expect another round of PlayStation Plus news before November is out.
